Attitude of Gratitude: Wins Along My Journey
⚖ Celebrating Wins Along the Way 😇
Hello Everyone!
As you know, survivors’ journeys can be tough at times. Everyone has the right to process trauma that works best for them, so long as they keep themselves and others safe, of course!
For me, one way to process trauma, and life in general, is to practice an Attitude of Gratitude – you have probably heard of this before! To me, it means celebrating both the big and small wins that meet us in our life journeys! Within this, I believe that we show fortitude, or showing strength through adversity, when we embrace an Attitude of Gratitude.
I believe that realizing that the good and the bad can coexist helps us to live life to our fullest capacity! My former professor at CCSU for Theories & Techniques in Counseling, Dr. Rachael Pelletti (personal communication, July 15, 2025), told our class that we can be unsatisfied with our reality while also accepting it, which I think is a concise, or short and simple way, to put it.
Thus, I decided to share my Attitude of Gratitude “wall” with you, beginning on January 13, 2026. I hope this encourages you to keep going in your life journeys! 😇
I want to give a special shout-out to Dr. Rachael Pelletti from
Central Connecticut State University for empowering us
and reminding us that “showing up as yourselves
(personal communication, July 8, 2025)”
is one way to conquer our life journeys! ❤🩹
I think she won the Excellence in Teaching Award at CCSU in 2025 for a reason!
Thank you, Dr. Pelletti, for inspiring me to share my journey!

January 12-13, 2026: A Life-Saving Act 🍽
As I mentioned on my CT CHRO Complaint Addendums page, as of January 13, 2026, I am still being “starved out” by ECSU and CSCU.
However, on January 12, 2026, I told someone who worked at a fast food location in Willington, CT, that I was about to collapse due to starvation after I was recently discharged from hospitalization due to attempting suicide, which left me with acute kidney injury.
What caused the acute kidney injury, you ask? I drank 64 ounces of whiskey all at once to try to end life due to ECSU and CSCU ignoring me when I requested housing as a Supportive Measure. This was after ECSU retaliatorily fired me via police force after I reported being sexually assaulted.
The kind person gave me a pack of Walmart Peanut Butter Snack Mix, which they got from Cornerstone Foundation, Inc., in Vernon Rockville, CT. Cornerstone has a Food Cupboard, which gives nonperishable food items to those in need. They told me that Cornerstone has been a godsend to them, providing necessary relief in many ways!
I literally cried tears of joy 🥹 while eating due to their act of kindness – the snack mix meant the world to me after I starved for days! They also bought me a bottle of Poland Spring with their own money, which I really appreciate, so to that person, thank you!! 🙏
Since Cornerstone gave them the food, I emailed Cornerstone directly to express my gratitude. I copied Connecticut Governor Ned Lamont on the email to thank him for where Connecticut is getting things right! ⚖
